USD Inspection of Fire Protection Systems

Testing is to include backflow prevention devices associated with the fire sprinkler systems . Inspections are to take place between the dates of May 15th through August 1st of each calendar year . The contracted inspector will create a building inspection list . This list is to be broken down by inspection date and anticipated buildings that are to be inspected . This form will be given to USD to share with building occupants . The contracted inspector will be accompanied by a USD employee who will be updating our records for the inspections and tests . Invoicing shall be submitted according to their category of buildings and their sprinkler systems tested : Residential Housing ( RH ); Academic ( AC ); Coyote Village ( CV ); Muenster University Center ( MUC ); Wellness Center ( WC ); All fixes / discrepancies will need to be submitted for approval prior to repairs taking place and include an itemized estimated cost of repairs and description of code issues . USD Reserves the right to use other firms for repairs . Any maintenance or repair work beyond the scope of this contract ( annual inspections ) must have approval prior to work being performed from authorized USD personnel and USD Director of Environmental Health and Safety . Contractor shall supply an itemized invoice for any work performed outside of the scope of work .
