USDA Product Processing

The DeKalb County School District ( DCSD ) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide USDA product processing services . The purpose and intent of this ITB is to establish a term contract for services to support the DCSD School Nutrition Department . The following requirements , terms and conditions , and specifications shall govern the selection of USDA products processed , furnished , and delivered to Cold Storage Boulevard , Inc ., 100 Metcalf Road , Forest Park , GA 30297 for DeKalb County School District ( DCSD ). Your bid must be submitted in strict accordance with the specifications contained herein for each item . SPECIFICATIONS Each bidder will complete the Bid Form , Attachment C - 1 , included in this ITB . End Product Data Schedules are required for all products bid . All items bid shall meet specifications set forth by the DeKalb County School District designated on the Bid Form , Attachment C - 1 . Items that do not meet specifications will be rejected . The DeKalb County School District reserves the right to determine if the products offered are the type and quality desired . See Bid Form , Attachment C - 1 , which includes product specifications or approved equal . Bidders are not restricted by these specifications from bidding on grades or products which exceed the minimum requirements specified ; however , that factor will not be considered when making awards , if a product meeting the specified requirements is available at a lower cost . Bidders must provide electronic copies of product data sheets for all items bid . Data sheets should include , but are not limited to , nutrition fact panel , allergy information , pack sizes . Award vendors must notify DCSD SNS of any nutritional changes within ten ( 10 ) business days . A Child Nutrition ( CN ) label and / or a signed Product Formulation Statement ( s ) must be provided for all products bid , documenting that the product contributes toward the meal pattern requirements in the Child Nutrition Programs . If this information is not provided , the item will not be considered . All products delivered should have been processed and packed in accordance with good commercial practice .
