Description
Description | Please note : This is a Sole Source Notification . The District has standardized on the Verkada platform for physical security . The following factors support the sole - source determination : • The District has an existing investment in Verkada cameras and Verkada access control hardware that must be maintained under a unified management platform . • Verkada Command provides a single cloud - based interface for managing all cameras and access control devices . Introducing a different manufacturer would require a separate management system , increasing operational complexity and staff training requirements . • Integration between Verkada cameras and Verkada access control ( e . g ., door - camera linking , event correlation , and unified alert workflows ) would be lost or degraded with a mixed - vendor approach . • The District ’ s IT staff are trained on the Verkada platform . A second platform would require additional training , support contracts , and administrative overhead that is not operationally or financially justified . 3 . Scope of Work 3 . 1 Equipment The selected vendor shall provide the following Verkada equipment for Mallets Bay School : • Comprehensive indoor coverage ( e . g ., Verkada CD - series or equivalent ) for hallways , common areas , and entry vestibules . • Comprehensive outdoor coverage ( e . g ., Verkada CB - series or equivalent ) for building perimeters , parking areas , and exterior entry points . • All necessary mounting hardware , cabling , and accessories for a complete installation . • Verkada Command licenses for each camera with a minimum 30 - day cloud video retention . 3 . 2 Installation The vendor shall be responsible for : • Professional installation of all cameras at locations determined in coordination with the District ’ s IT Department . • Integration of all new cameras into the District ’ s existing Verkada Command organization , including proper site grouping and naming conventions . • Verification that all new cameras are visible and manageable alongside existing Verkada cameras and access control devices within the Command platform . • Cable runs and network connectivity as needed , coordinated with the District ’ s existing network infrastructure . For this proposal , you can assume that cameras will be powered by our network infrastructure . • Testing and commissioning of all cameras , including image quality verification , night vision functionality , and motion detection zones . |
