Description | Following recent Planning approval, Thanet District Council intends to select and appoint a suitable supplier for the provision of construction works at Walpole Bay in the Thanet District. The bidder will construct a beachfront development on the Hodges Gap lower promenade at Walpole Bay, Cliftonville, as part of the council's Regeneration Project Portfolio. The works will include the construction of a new small cafe building with mezzanine seating area, separate toilet block with outdoor showers, and a shipping container based community space. Thanet District Council will be inviting prospective bidders to submit a Tender to meet the Employer's requirements. This below threshold tender opportunity is anticipated to be issued in mid-February 2026. Important Information: Thanet District Council will use the Kent Business Portal for this procurement opportunity.
