1 ) Remove existing roof and roofing components , including counter - flashings , copings , gravel stops , and insulation , down to decking . Check decking for deficiencies and replace or repair deteriorated decking at the cost / sf price as identified on the bid form . Thorne Metal Decking Sections – 11 , 12 , & 14 , Thorne Concrete Decking Section – 13 , Robichaud Metal Decking Section – 4 . 2 ) At Thorne , Section 13 ( Concrete Decking ), the deck is to receive a primer coat of Garla - prime at 0 . 5 gallons per square and HPR Torch Base sheet installed per Garland standard details . 3 ) At Thorne Section 13 , install 1 / 8 " tapered polyisocyanurate insulation system with minimum 2 " base . All insulation over concrete deck shall be adhered with InsuLock HR at the specified rate to achieve necessary wind uplift values as specified . 4 ) At Thorne metal decking sections ( 11 , 12 , & 14 ), install 1 / 8 " tapered polyisocyanurate insulation system with minimum 2 " base at predetermined fastening pattern to achieve necessary wind uplift values as specified . 5 ) At Robichaud , install ¼ ” tapered polyisocyanurate insulation system with minimum 2 " base at predetermined fastening patter to achieve necessary wind uplift values ad designed . 6 ) Mechanically fasten ¼ ” tapered insulation crickets between drain locations to facilitate positive drainage where necessary 7 ) Install ½ ” Primed Wood Fiberboard set in InsuLock insulation adhesive per wind uplift requirements . 8 ) Sump all drains where allowed to achieve 4 ' x 4 ' pan . 9 ) At Thorne , all expansion joint is to be replaced . Raise curbs of expansion joints as necessary to achieve minimum 8 " height . 10 ) All accessories such as cant strips , drain inserts ( or new drains ), sealants , etc . are to be installed as identified in specifications and drawings .
