Tank Information : The structure is a 500 , 000 gallon double ellipse elevated water storage tank with an estimated low - water level of 80 ft . located at 1107 Bristol Street in Adrian , Michigan . The work includes : Exterior : High pressure water clean ( 5 , 000 to 10 , 000 psi ) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC - SP11 standard . Apply a three ( 3 ) coat epoxy urethane system . Caulk between the leg baseplates and the concrete foundations . Wet Interior : Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC - SP10 near - white metal standard . Apply a three ( 3 ) coat zinc epoxy system . Apply a polyurethane caulk to the roof lap seams . The cathodic protection system is to be removed and reinstalled by the Owner ’ s vendor ( or approved equal ), coordination and payment is the Contractor ’ s responsibility . The mechanical mixer is to be removed and reinstalled after the topcoat is cured . Foundation : Water clean and apply a two ( 2 ) coat epoxy system . Repairs : Install riser manway . Replace the gaskets on the wet interior roof hatch and on the bolted painter ’ s hatch . Overflow discharge modification . Replace fall prevention devices on the wet interior riser and on the exterior leg ladders . Replace the vandal guard . Install a roof platform . Install a wet interior ladder from the roof to the bowl . Balcony access modification . Install a roof handrail with a painter ’ s railing . Install bowl rigging couplings . Remove the painter ’ s railing form the wet interior . Replace the damaged electrical junction box . Relocate the aviation light . MISCELLANEOUS There is extensive topcoat delamination on the roof . Note that the Contractor is to account for more sanding to feather in edges of the spot failures prior to coating than usual . Cost is to be included in the exterior overcoating bid .
