A . Window Removal : Remove all existing windows identified in the Window List in Exhibit A . 1 . The Contractor is responsible for verifying all field dimensions , quantities , and existing conditions prior to ordering materials . No substitutions without written approval from CADA . Note : All dimensions provided are for bidding purposes only . Contractor is solely responsible for final field measurements and accuracy of all replacement window sizes . B . Interior Trim : Remove and replace existing interior window trim as required for proper installation of new windows . Provide and install new wood trim where existing trim is damaged or cannot be reused . Interior repairs shall include replacement of damaged gypsum board , installation of DensShield at jambs where required , and installation of new MDF stool and apron to match existing profiles . C . Window Coverings : Remove all existing window coverings . Reinstall existing coverings after installation , or replace if damaged due to construction activities . D . Inspection and Minor Repairs : Inspect all window jambs , sills , and adjacent framing for signs of damage or deterioration . Repair or replace minor damaged components as required for proper window installation . Contractor shall patch and repair exterior stucco at all window perimeters to match existing in texture , thickness , and finish . Contractor shall install insulation at all voids between new window and existing framing as indicated in Exhibit A . 1 . Exclusion : Major structural repairs or concealed dry rot not visible during prebid inspection shall be brought to CADA ’ s attention and addressed through a written change order . E . New Window Installation : Furnish and install new vinyl retrofit windows with Z - bar , white interior and exterior finish . All replacement windows shall be retrofit installations into existing frames unless otherwise noted . All replacement windows shall be narrow stile to maintain existing architectural appearance . Contractor shall include all custom fabrication required for non - standard window configurations shown in Exhibit A . 1 .
