Description | The project consists of professional design services necessary to restore a 40 ’ wide , ½ mile long , landscaped median and associated infrastructure damaged by a tornado . Restoration elements are anticipated to include , but are not limited to : 1 . Removal / replacement of damaged and removed trees within the median . 2 . Under - canopy and supplemental landscape planting within the median 3 . Landscape planting and restoration , considering sustainable planting practices and incorporating flexibility in the design for future enhancements ( such as art ) at select locations , where appropriate . 4 . Irrigation system evaluation , repair , and / or replacement 5 . Street lighting restoration or replacement 6 . Turf restoration 7 . Coordination with existing roadway and traffic operations |
