Description
Description | The Department of Social Services requires the establishment of a single feasible source contract with Good Samaritan Boys Ranch for a program that empowers youth in foster care and families in crisis to prevent the cycle of trauma , family separation , and homelessness . House Bill 11 . 480 requires the following : “ For a non - profit organization with locations in a county with more than two hundred sixty thousand but fewer than three hundred thousand inhabitants and a county with more than thirty thousand but fewer than thirty - five thousand inhabitants and with a county seat with more than nine thousand but fewer than thirteen thousand inhabitants that works to empower youth in foster care and families in crisis to prevent the cycle of trauma , family separation , and homelessness .” Good Samaritan Boys Ranch is the only nonprofit organization with locations in a county with more than two hundred sixty thousand but fewer than three hundred thousand inhabitants and a county with more than thirty thousand but fewer than thirty - five thousand inhabitants and with a county seat with more than nine thousand but fewer than thirteen thousand inhabitants that works to empower youth in foster care and families in crisis to prevent the cycle of trauma , family separation , and homelessness . According to RSMo 34 . 044 , a single feasible source can be utilized when the product / service requirement is proprietary and only available from a single provider .
