The Expanded Learning Office seeks organizations to provide discrete enrichment services within established Expanded Learning programs during after - school , summer , and intersession periods . Becoming an approved CBO is the first step in serving as an after - school provider . Organizations selected through the RFP process will be added to the Approved Provider List ; however , placement and scheduling are determined by student feedback , 5 program needs , site capacity , and program alignment . Selection through this RFP does not guarantee an approved CBO will be selected by students , placed at a specific school site , or offered a minimum level of service . Being selected as an approved CBO only guarantees that the Organization will be added to the Approved Provider List . Enrichment schedules and service delivery may be adjusted based on site needs , funding , and program structure . Enrichment services will typically be delivered : ● During after - school hours , generally between 1 : 45 p . m . and 6 : 00 p . m . ● During summer and intersession periods , including school breaks and non - school days , based on site needs Approved providers must demonstrate the ability to integrate flexibly into existing program schedules and collaborate effectively with Lead Agencies and school staff .
